Klübersynth® GH 6 Oils
Synthetic gear and high-temperature oils
Description:
Klübersynth GH 6 oils are high-temperature
gear oils on a polyglycol
basis. They have an increased scuffing
load capacity and provide good
protection against wear. In the stringent
FZG test (A/16.6/140) these
oils had a scuffing load stage > 12
and a work-related loss in weight
0.2 mg/kWh. Klübersynth GH 6
oils are particularly resistant to
ageing and oxidation, they have a
good viscosity-temperature relationship
and show an excellent hightemperature
behaviour.
Fields of application:
Klübersynth GH 6 oils were
especially developed for the
lubrication of worm gears with
steel/bronze pairings. In this
application there are two interesting
aspects: the special polyglycol base
oils reduce the friction coefficient,
and the very efficient additives
minimize wear.
Klübersynth GH 6 oils are also suitable
to lubricate all types of bevel
and spur gears, plain and rolling
bearings as well as toothed couplings,
especially when exposed to
increased temperatures.
Application notes:
Klübersynth GH 6 oils can be
applied by immersion, immersion
circulation and injection. Observe
the manufacturer’s instructions
about the maximum viscosity that
can be pumped.
Klübersynth GH 6 oils are not miscible
with mineral oils and synthetic
hydrocarbons. We recommend
cleaning the lubrication points prior
to conversion, and rinsing gears or
br /> materials in contact with Klübersynth
GH 6 oils refer to the table
“compatibility with elastomers”.
Paints may be attacked by synthetic
lubricants. When applying Klübersynth
GH 6 oils we recommend the
use of two-component paints (reactive
paints) for interior coating. Oil
gauge glasses should preferably be
made of natural glass or polyamide
materials. Other transparent
plastics, e. g. Plexiglas, have a
tendency to crack under stress.
We recommend testing the suitability
of design materials and paints in
contact with the selected lubricants,
especially for series application.
